Seafood chowder was a nice change from the clam chowder. My wife had the crab cakes which were good but a little more greasy to our likeness even being from the south. I had the fish and chips which were also a little greasy. It was still good. Food was 3 stars but view where we sat pulled it to a 4, as well as excellent service.

On the water in the main part of town. Food was very good. My wife while not a fan of lobster figured if she was in Maine she should try some. She ordered twin lobsters and within minutes all that was left was a pile of shells. She loved them but now will only be satisfied with lobsters caught that day.

This place was awesome but it may only seem that way to me because I came 1 hour before it closed but still. When we came in the people were really nice to us and sat us down right away by the water. They had a great collection of different foods! I really really really liked their soups I had clam chowder and I had the lobster soup both amazing so yeah try the soup they won't let u down! Oh yeah I got their lobster roll it was very good as well. So stop by this place and give it a try for yourself and yes I know the other reviews say it is bad but it's really good trust me. :)

Our room rate now includes a buffet breakfast that includes standard steam table fare such as scrambled eggs, a rotating protein, potatoes, pancakes plus orange juice, make your own waffles and fresh fruit. Servers clean tables and provide coffee. The absence of a live cooking station was disappointing. We also had dinner once solely because I was allowed to use an old restaurant.com certificate though the restaurant no longer participates in the program. We opted to dine on the outside patio since the weather was perfect. My ordered an entree of 3 mini crab cakes with aioli plus boiled red potatoes and coleslaw. I opted for the twin soft shelled lobsters ($21.99) special that included coleslaw, but no tatas. We enjoyed both entrees though neither scaled any culinary heights. Service was cheerful and competent.

Unbelievably bad. For first time in my life I dropped cash on the table to cover the drinks and walked out with our party of seven the service was abysmal the ambience terrible the management rude when we complained after an hour and fifteen minutes waiting for appetizers in an almost empty restaurant. overall it was a horrendous experience and almost destroyed the night until we went to the Boathouse Restaurant next-door which solved the problem being so unbelievably much better. The Fisherman's should close and put tourists out of their misery. The place was strait out of "The Shining" so dated and lame I cannot begin to express. Avoid at all costs.

Chain restaurant fare with a harbor atmosphere. Mediocre service. I had the blackened tuna with seasonal veggies and mashed potatoes. It was good food, but uninspired. If you are staying nearby and don't feel like trekking back to Boothbay, you'll be well fed. But keep your expectations in check.

Hotel/Restaurant/Bar. A special on the day I ate here was a steamed soft shell lobster, fries, cole slaw and a pickle for $13. Or something outrageously inexpensive like that. Yum. I ordered a crab roll, which was amazing. Very crabby- not too mayo-y. The bread was delicious. The potato salad was eh. My bloody mary was fabulous. The shrimp cocktail was not as good as I hoped it to be, as the shrimp tasted like it was frozen. That, or overcooked. I came here for the second time for a rehearsal dinner. I had selected the salmon. It was served with cranberry sauce, a baked potato, green beans, and salad. It tasted like hotel food. Not much flavor, the fish didn't taste much like anything (very bland), and the green beans were soggy. The best part of the meal was the chocolate mousse dessert. Now that was pretty good. The last time I came here was on a visit to the bar. I just had a beer. The bartender was very rude, and seemed irritated it was so busy. Before the wedding, we all stopped in for a drink before boarding the boat to take us to the wedding location. I'm sorry, but when you live in a tourist driven town, and work in a tourist driven establishment, just be nice. All in all, an okay place to grab a bite. Get the crab roll!

The absolute worst chowder and restaurant in Boothbay! Food took 45 minutes to get to the table and it was luke warm. Place is old and needs a good scrubbing. Absolutely not worth it and will not go back!

Just returned from BB Harbor and this is by far the best bang for the buck! Ate here one day and each got 2 lobsters for the 15.00 deal. I honestly didnt expect much. These things came out and they where an impressive size for the price! We also shared some fries which where good also. We had a nice afternoon of lobster and fancy purple and blue martinis! We had an 80.00 lunch but where else can you get 4 lobsters, fries and 4 martini's for 80.00 including tip? NOWHERE!! The service wasnt that great but lobsters made up for it. So good in fact we took our friends for lunch the next day. They where equally impressed. This time we sat on the deck. It was a gorgeous day and the service was 5 star! This day 2 of us went for the triple and the females stayed with the doubles. And all had fruity drinks again. The waiter was great and didnt mind some of our party pounding on the table saying "triple, triple, triple" And the triple, my friends- 20.00! yes, 3 lobsters 20.00. And another fine lunch! This will be a must each time we are in BB Harbor! I recommend this to anyone for drinks and lobsters out on the deck. Inside is a little old school so stick to the outside. We are now so spoiled by this place I will no longer be able to have lobster anywhere else.

This is one of the better sit-down restaurants in the area, though really not comparable to any city restaurant. The chef is excellent, but the ambiance is a bit too dated and casual for the fine dining it aspires to be. Great deck for drinks and apps in the late afternoon, though.

What an appalling nightmare. This place has either no overlooking management or a manager who has the skills of the Swedish chef. Came here 4th of July night with a reserved party of forty people for a weekend wedding. Somehow 'management' thought it was a good idea assigning only one waitress in our entire section. This girl was in over her head the whole night understandably and forgot drink orders, and for one of our tables, their entire entree order! Yep they sat at their table (with drinks at least) but over 90 mins pass with no meals. The inundated waitress simply throws down their full bill (entrees and all) yet our compadres at that table couldn't eat. Trying to rectify this with the waitstaff she kept ongoing the excuse that its the busiest night of the year, but I don't know how anyone makes a blunder that bad. She took off the meals for that table of guests but not their drinks. When asked to speak with a manager, she said they couldn't speak with them, simply because how busy the restaurant was that night. What?? Isn't that the management's job is to put out logistical fires like this one? Like I said horrible management will definitely make me pass on this place in the future. In the end you are better off diving into that harbor behind this place and catching a great meal with your bare hands. Ambiance... On a side point this place needs a restaurant impossible makeover badly. The drab and dated interior does not match their price point whatsoever.

If you want better food for your money go to Kaler's close by. The staff was great and it had a beautiful view, but food was over priced.

This place is best for older diners who want a classic dining room experience. The waitstaff is friendly and the bar is always open for a bottle of wine or cocktails. The seafood is fresh, but the environment is somewhat old-school. Check out the outdoor deck space for the best views of Boothbay Harbor. Fisherman's accommodates large bus tours and couples alike. Great place for a romantic seaside dinner. I recommend: seafood chowder.

We had dinner there tonight. It was excellent. Our seafood chowder was just the right consistence, not to thick or thin, full of fish, and most importantly HOT. My husband had the 4oz. Filet, cooked perfectly and all his sides were the same. I had the special, twin boiled lobster and they were great. I appreciate the large bucket they gave me for my shells. The great view of a beautiful sunset was a bonus. Service was terrific.

After years of thinking this was a high-tier restaurant, three of us went there for dinner since two other places we'd gone had loud music. We wanted to talk. It was great for that purpose. Filet Mignon (4 oz.) was to come with Bernaise Sauce. Half way through eating it I remembered this and asked for it. A small cup with mushroom sauce was brought to the table. Water was not refilled for a long time. The cabbage and potatoes with the filet were wonderful. Fried clams were good, steamed clams were fine. Not as good as I'd expected.
